GLE FILIATION TODAY IN FRANCE

After having thought with the whole class about the notion of family, the definition of which has evolved a lot since the 1980s without the law evolving at the same pace, a group of students attended the performance of a contemporary show: "Pour autrui" (for others) directed by Pauline Bureau. Then the students, in groups of 3, worked on a subject of the play : the place of puppets in the show, the choice of writing the show in several languages, the set, the notion of motherhood. Finally, they made short videos in which they gave their impressions of the show and proposed an analysis of the play based on the subject of study on which they had worked, which were watched and commented on with the whole class.

The students thought about the notions of motherhood, parenthood and family from a contemporary play. They were introduced to the reading and analysis of a contemporary play from a specific topic. They thought about the issue of GPA not in a theoretical, documentary or media way but from a story : the story of a woman in France who cannot have children and that of a woman in North America who is going to carry her baby.
