The students had already been made aware of the problems concerning women’s rights during the preparatory phase of the play they created and performed with an actor. The activity was then constructed using what the students rememberedor learned during the history lessons and moral and citizenship education. They studied a chronological presentation of women’s rights from antiquity to the present, insisting upon  the persisting inequalities and the necessary struggle of women to obtain more rights and equality.

After that, the students each made a timeline of acquisitions of women’s rights.

The pupils had already a good knowledge of the issue before starting the activity. The exchanges were very interesting, rich and constructive. The students had the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of the subject by  creating a timeline. They will keep it in a file so as to be able to use it during the future citizenship education and history lessons in 4th and 3rd forms.
