VIC Gender equality promoters
23 août 2022First, teacher explained to the students that gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.
Secondly, students were divided in mixed groups and they were asked to find representative Gender equality promoters.
Students chose photos of each of them, selected a few biographical details and explained how their commitment influenced gender equality.
They found out that now, more girls are going to school, fewer girls are forced into early marriage, more women are serving in parliament and positions of leadership, and laws are being reformed to advance gender equality.
Students presented Emmeline Pankhurst, Rosalind Franklin, Simone de Beauvoir, Simone Veil, Wangari Maathai, Marie Curie, Malala Yousafzai.
At the end, they completed an wordwall.
