FRA3/2023Visiting The Cap Blanc Nez

The ”Cap Blanc Nez” is situated at Escalles, in north of France by the sea. There are hills and white cliffs made of chalk and people make there long walks. On a sunny day, you can also see the coasts of England. There are rare plants, too, e.g. wild orchids.
The Dover patrol, which ensured the Channel remained free of German U-boats during World War I, was commemorated through the construction of an obelisk. Additionally, visitors can also observe World War II bunkers at the summit, as well as craters that serve as a reminder of the bombardments that took place during the war.
