Students searched for films or series presenting a female character combating problem of social exclusion or sexism. These women were generally pioneers, rebels, creative, geniuses fighting prejudices in male dominated fields.

The students watched the trailers or excerpts and tried to get some information about the films and analyzed their purpose and the issues presented, either in a serious or humoristic way.

 

Then , they wrote  a digital report presenting: the title (French and original is applicable), the director, the date of release, the synopsis and the links with the theme of the project.

The students used a digital tool  to present shortly in English the characters, their stories and links to film extracts.

The students improved their cultural knowledge in different fields: the cinema of course, and according to the various themes of the films, science (e.g. Marie Curie) , art (e.g.Camille Claudel), etc..They became aware of the difficulties women encountered in the past and still face today when they choose a career in a male dominatedfield.

They created digital documents giving details and describing the issues presented in  the films selected.
