First, the students researched the history of Afghanistan and together they made a summary of the main periods that structured it (Antiquity, wars, Soviet invasion, various successive regimes)

Then they did more specific research on the Taliban and the condition of Afghan women when they were in power.

Finally, they selected a photograph of an Afghan woman from the press, which they presented and analyzed in English to the whole class.

 

The students worked on current affairs, developed their skills in researching the media, produced a collective summary of a country's history and became aware of the argumentative value of a press photo.

They were also able to develop their oral communication skills in a foreign language as they explained their photograph orally in English
