During the first session of the workshop, the writer launched the debate and helped the students understand the real issue at stake in the exercise. The students were then divided into small groups. The oral exchanges enabled each group to choose a leading female personality in different fieds (sport, politics, art, civic engagement, etc…)

Two obligations were set: two characters, called Juliet and Boris had to be included in the story and interact with the heroine.

The events told should  span a few days in the life of the heroine (this to help the students to adopt a point of view and focus on the narrative.

Then the students did some personal research about the chosen personality and started to write their story.

The writercame back a second time at mid-time of the workshop, he listened to the students reading their respective narrative to the whole group and gave them individual advice. The pupils went on writing on their own (with the teachers), formatted their texts once finished and during the last session; again in the presence of Olivier de Solminhac, read them out loud.The writer also showed them how to use a word processing software to lay out a document meeting the standards of the publishing houses.

 

Production of a collection of six short stories.
