Description: Students will be encouraged to fight against social exclusion and for equal rights. There have been so many unsung heroes, women who contributed to World War I efforts, to the 1974 revolution efforts in Portugal and to so many other defining moments in history, without ever having been acknowledged.  We celebrate and commend all the anonymous women who every single day gives so much of themselves for others, often at a cost to their own health and well-being. They are mums, wives, daughters, carers, professionals.  Students think about their role models and their importance in their lives. Reflect on how everyday actions of anonymous women were, are and will be fundamental. It is important to remember that women have come a long way in the fight for gender equality, but we still have a lot of work left to do. International Women’s day is the best way to pay tribute to all amazing women in our lives.

Reflecting on the importance of how everyday actions of anonymous and famous women were,           are and will be fundamental made students understand the power women have. They understood      the importance of women´s role in society and realized that they have come a long way in the             fight for gender equality. International Women’s day is the best way to pay tribute to all amazing         women in our lives, so an exhibition with all the posters and information collected will be exhibited      at school.
